Classical Music Composer Mouse Pads

Been so busy getting through Christmas that I haven't spent much time on new designs this month. Now that things are slacking off it's time to debut some new items.
Just today I listed some new Classical Composer Mouse pads at All-4-Corners, my eBay store. These are my 9.25" x 7.75" rectangular mousepads, neoprene rubber non-slip backing with the polyester fabric top. Very cool and well made mouse pads.
So far I have the Bach, Beethoven and Mozart mouse pads...featuring a portrait and signature of each. If anybody has a suggestion for another Classical composer to include just drop me a line and I'll put it on the to-do list.

Blackberries, Raspberries amd Blueberries

This is nothing, just a link to the new Blueberry phone blogspot that I threw together. Seems some people search for Blueberry phones when what they really want is a BlackBerry. Personally, I like raspberries best.

Novelty Wall Clocks at RetroRanger

novelty wall clocks
When I think of Cafepress I think of t-shirts, and I don't think I'm unusual in that aspect. Cafepress is a t-shirt place. but I find this Christmas season that I'm enjoying some good sales of non-tshirt items...especially license frames and wall clocks.
I think I'll make it a point to beef up these non-tshirt items in the coming year. Today I started adding new designs to the Novelty Wall Clocks section of my RetroRanger store on Cafepress. I have a lot of clock designs that I sell on eBay through my print-on-demand supplier and I'm planning on adding many of the top sellers to my Cafepress inventory.

Eat Me Said The Cake To Alice Shirt

Yep, that was the line uttered by the sexy hitch-hiker in Stephen King's Desperation, "Eat me, said the cake, to Alice."
Gosh, what a great line I thought. Maybe if I had a t-shirt that said "Eat me, said the cake, to Alice" then I could a have a bond with sexy hitch-hikers. Maybe with such a t-shirt sexy hitch-hikers would find me irresistible.
This is the Eat Me, said the Cake, to Alice Shirt at my Zazzle shop CoolTeeShirts...uniform of the day for sexy hitch-hikers.

Throw A Sheep Shirt on Zazzle

OK, let's be honest, when it comes to Facebook I'm not a poke kinda guy. I'm not gonna buy you a fish and I'm not gonna throw a sheep at you. But that's just me.
New t-shirt at my Zazzle shop, coolteeshirts, is this Throw A Sheep Shirt. If it has to be explained then you probably won't want it anyway.

New Tubas Will Eat Me Shirt on Zazzle

tubas will eat me
I've been wrestling with my new Zazzle store Cool Tee Shirts. My plan for this shop is to only load designs that have proven successful on Cafepress. Hard to justify loading up designs that haven't sold already. I'm also taking the liberty of reworking some of my older designs. My Paint Shop Pro abilities have improved greatly in the last couple of years, so I find I can improve some of my earlier efforts.
For example, new at Cool Tee Shirts is my Can't Sleep, Tubas Will Eat Me Shirt. This is an improved edition of a design that has been a good seller as Killer Tubas at my RetroRanger shop on Cafepress. I think this new design is 100-percent better than the previous effort, and at least 5 times scarier.

Cool Mouse Pads at My eBay Store

Dragstrip Girl
I've been busy the past few days designing mouse pads for my eBay store, All-4-Corners and also listing some of the mouse pads at my Bonanzle store, CoolUniverse. Check out Dragstrip Girl, a mouse pad I worked up today. How hot is she? 1956 backseat Chevy drive-in movie hot. Oh man, they could be your grandparents! That's just sick.

Anyway, I built out a page on my Savant7 site listing a bunch of the cool mouse pads that I currently have listed on eBay. Feel free to check them out and then buy a bunch. They make excellent stocking stuffers!

The Collective's Obama Borg Shirt

Oh yes, the collective loves the new Obama Borg shirt. I haven't polled the entire collective, but I asked one member of the collective and she loves the shirt. So we know that the entire collective loves the Obama Borg shirt. That's the way the collective works. You can argue with that, but that would be...you know...futile.
I have this shirt for sale in my new Zazzle shop...Cool Tee Shirts. My apologies for not uploading many designs into the shop...it definitely is on my list of things to do. I really like the whole Zazzle set-up, especially the selection of shirts. And how about these models!

Gift Ideas for Girlfriend. or Wife. or Both

Gift Ideas for your girlfriend, Jessica Biel. you dawg.
But, I repeat, don't have a girlfriend and wife with birthdays on the same day. That would be stupid.

Hey, just made a page on my savant7 site highlighting some Gift Ideas For Girlfriend that you can find at my eBay store, All-4-Corners. Lots of my items are historical in nature, or guy-stuff like gangsters and tractors and trains. But I've got a lot of girly stuff too, so check out the Gift Ideas for Girlfriend and make her the happiest woman in the world.

New Shirt Shop on Zazzle

I've been on the fence about Zazzle.com for some time. I know it can't hurt to put some of my designs up on Zazzle and maybe get some sales, but does the Zazzle traffic justify the effort. Well, I was checking some POD traffic numbers today and decided that Zazzle really has proven that it is here for the long run and the visitor numbers are getting quite strong. Certainly as good as Cafepress's numbers a few years ago when I first started with them.
So I've decided to build out a Zazzle store...and stock it with some of my Cafepress designs. At least my successful design. Hell, the hard work is already done. All that's necessary is learning the Zazzle interface. And learning is a good thing, right.
Please visit my new Zazzle shop. I call it Cool Tee Shirts and it's the greatest t-shirt shop in the world, hyperbolically speaking.

Here's to the Dogs of Law Enforcement

Seek Dope K9 Shirt
I am really enjoying the K9 Cops on Animal Planet! In case you haven't seen it yet, K9 Cops follows the police dogs of the St. Paul Police Department as they go about their rounds. Lots of chasing of perps and taking them to the ground...Do Not Fight The Dog...dumbass.
In honor of those hard working police dogs we've created the Seek Dope shirt. Seek Dope is the command the handler will give the dog to initiate a drug search. I think it makes for a pretty cool shirt. The Seek Dope K9 Shirt is available at RetroRanger.

California Highway Webcams

Just an experiment, posting the url to a Caltrans webcam to see if I can easily post them to a blog and have them still update. Here ya go, Mt Hebron webcam on Highway 97 in Siskiyou county:

And here's a link back to the Caltrans Webcam Page to check and see if the image has updated.

update: yep, seems to work. I have a purpose for this I think.

Ruppert Brewing Lager Bier Shirt

Been scanning and refining some old beer advertisements from the 1890s and putting them on t-shirts over at RetroRanger. This is the Ruppert's Brewery shirt, featuring an ad for Ruppert's Lager Bier. Jacob Ruppert Brewery was Manhattan's largest brewery of the early 1900s, even owned the Yankees for a while. It was Jacob Ruppert that built Yankee Stadium...which really could have been called, "The House That Beer Built." Check out the Ruppert shirt and other vintage brewery shirt designs at RetroRanger.

Maxfield Parrish Art on Cigarette Cases

Spent the afternoon adapting some classic Maxfield Parrish art to fit on the metal cigarette cases that I sell on eBay. I took three of my favorites of Maxfield Parrish art prints...Daybreak, Ecstasy, and Morning...and cropped and trimmed and adjusted until they fit.
If you're a fan of Maxfield Parrish art you'll want to check them out...here's a link to the Parrish cases and well as other Art Nouveau Designs.
Below is "Daybreak" on one of my cigarette cases. Where else you gonna find something that sweet for Maxfield Parrish Daybreak15 bucks?

Acupuncturist Business Card Case

Just uploaded to my eBay store, All-4-Corners, is this Acupuncturist Business Card Case.
Pretty cool case, solid aluminum and decorated with an 11th-Century Chinese drawing of important acupuncture points. The art is sealed to the case with some really hard enamel. The case holds up to 14 business cards.

Alphonse Mucha Summer as a Wristwatch

Alphonse Mucha Watch
Oh yea, I'm a big Alphonse Mucha fan. Best of the Art Nouveau artists if you ask me. And public domain to boot. Here's a new watch I have for sale on eBay...this is the Alphonse Mucha Summer Watch that you can now buy at All-4-Corners. Alphonse Mucha fans can look for a matching wall clock coming soon.

A current listing of just some the of the very cool art nouveau Mucha gift ideas that I currently have for sale at my eBay store: All-4-Corners. Watches, clocks, cigarette cases...all with wonderful art nouveau Alphonse Mucha artwork.

Thank You Gift Ideas

That's a good phrase, TYGI. Does about 100 searches a day. I'd like to get some of that action directed toward some of my eBay gift type items.
So another quicky display on Savant7, the thank you gift ideas RSS feed displayed for all to see. and find. and buy.

New Traffic Feeders for eBay Store

I'm working on some new Savant7 pages to feed and backlink to my All-4-Corners eBay store. Basically I'm taking some custom rss feeds of my ebay store items, displaying them with CaRP on optimized pages hosted on my Savant7 playbox.
Hopefully I can boost some traffic numbers by building on such pages. We'll see.
Two pages built so far: Historical Tractor Watches and Wristwatches which displays the current crop of tractor watches, and Historical and Personality Watches and Wristwatches which displays a more mix bag of designs.

New Majestic 12 Cafepress Store

I was watching one of those flying saucer shows on the Discovery channel, absorbing the secret knowledge that rides on the sideband of the tv wave, and independently arrived at the following premise: This world really needs is some Majestic 12 merchandise.Majestic 12 Phys Ed Shirt
You of course are familiar with Majestic 12, the super top secret fraternity of scientists, military leaders, and government officials, formed in 1947 by President Harry S. Truman. The original purpose of Majestic 12 was to investigate UFO activity in the aftermath of the Roswell incident, and they have continued in that area ever since. These are your Air Force UFO investigators, the Men in Black. These are the dudes in the black Yukon parked outside your house at this very moment. No, don't look. Just pretend everything is normal.
Please welcome into the world my new Cafepress store, the Majestic 12 Post Exchange. At my new virtual Majestic 12 PX you'll find all the same MJ-12 merchandise available at the real Majestic 12 PX, which doesn't officially exist. Shown here is the Majestic 12 Phys Ed Dept Shirt, perfect garb for a rousing game of Mars Ball.

Vintage Romper Room TV Show Graphic Restored

I was digging through a pile of vintage paper the other day and came across an old Romper Room TV Show iron-on graphic. Looks to be from the 1960s. Pretty cool, but the transfer is all dried out and cracked and probably not usable.
But I was able to scan the design and do some Paint Shop Pro clean-up. Came out pretty cool...Mr Do-Bee flying around a Jack-in-the-box. That's what Mr Do-Bee does.
Available at Romper Room TV Show on Cafepress.

A Moving Target is Hard to Hit

bird poop shirt
A rolling stone gathers no moss...and a fast-moving man can avoid getting bird poop on his head. That's the way I see it. Just uploaded to a new Cafepress shop is my new Bird Poop Shirt.
Simple put, A Bird Poops Every 15 Minutes...I Must Keep Moving. This isn't brain science...if you keep moving the bird poop will land on the car, or the picnic table. Stop moving and the bird poop will splat on your shoulder. Or your head. The choice is up to you.
Get your Bird Poop Shirt on Cafepress, available on t-shirts, sweatshirts and sexy spaghetti tank tops. Yes, sexy Bird Poop tank tops. And be sure and stop by Teeblr and cast a vote for the Bird Poop Shirt as your favorite.

Real Estate Experiments

Doing some research for a realtor friend who is just now getting online and who wonders how to best attack the crowded web competition. And boy is it crowded. Gonna be a tough nut to crack, but I see a few possibilities. Anyway, this post really just serves as a vehicle for this link to Folsom California Homes For Sale...a little blog experiment.
Should I actually crack the competitive real estate market I may just have to roll out an info product. Probably won't though cuz I got way too many other things to do. Too many projects, not enough time.

New John McCain Shirt - Lived In A Box

John McCain Shirt

I'm a lifelong Republican...one of the ultra-right-wing crazies. And I've got to be honest, I wasn't too enthused about this upcoming presidential election...not until Sweet Sarah showed up and got me all politically aroused.
I was watching John McCain's acceptance speech last night and couldn't help but thinking that he is one tough son-of-a-bitch. You survive the depths of hell like he did in that North Vietnam prison and the everyday problems of our domestic lives pale. To bone-white.
Made up a shirt for my RetroRanger shop on Cafepress. This is my John McCain, He Don't Scare, Lived In A Box Shirt. Yea, there's a bunch of different shirts and sweatshirts to choose from.
I'm still not totally sold on John McCain's politics, but you gotta give the dude props on being one tough hombre.

John McCain and Sarah Palin Clock

Just completed some John McCain & Sarah Palin designs for eBay and Cafepress sales. I'm still not personally too keen on John McCain, but I sure do like Sarah Palin. Now up on RetroRanger is the John McCain-Sarah Palin Clock...don't you have a perfect place to hang this?
Check my eBay listing for similar designs on a metal cigarette case and a McCain-Palin wristwatch.

Never Get Lost in Chaco Canyon

One of the most fascinating places I've every visited is Chaco Culture National Historic Park in northwest New Mexico. You'll find it at the end of 30 miles of bad road and it's well worth any tire damage. Chaco Canyon was home to the Anasazi from about 850 to 1250 AD. The Anasazi built an incredible culture and some magnificent buildings in those few hundred years, and then up and disappeared. Leaving mostly a mystery.

New at my eBay store All-4-Corners is the Chaco Canyon Map Metal Case. I drew this map based on Molly O'Halloran's map found in David Grant Noble's book, "In Search of Chaco." I've put the map onto an ivory background to give it a nice antique look, although not necessarily a "Chaco" look. Perhaps for future items I'll go with a pottery or turquoise design.

Broccoli Obama, Good For America

Broccoli Obama
Having a little Paint Shop Pro fun this morning and created Broccoli Obama. I'm not the first to pair the Democrat candidate for leader of the free world with a green stalky vegetable, but I think this is the best rendition so far. The Broccoli Obama T-Shirt is available at Cafepress as well as mugs and clocks and pins and underwear and other respectable doo-dads.

The Marching Band as Assimilated Borgs

You know the Borg, from Star Trek, the collective that moves as one...individuality surrendered to the will of the Collective. It's just like Marching Band! That's the idea behind the Band Borg Marching Band Shirt. Find it at RetroRanger and also up for votes on Teeblr.

Zydeco Idol Belt Buckle

Got a new design up on my eBay store today for the Zydeco Idol Belt Buckle...a continuation of the Idol-inspired buckles done earlier. Put this up on eBay about noon and it was snatched up before 1:00. Always a good sign but no guarantee of future "snatch-upedness."
Always posted a very cool Louisiana Shirt to Teeblr. Not mine, found it at The America Shop on Cafepress. Really like the graphic and figured it fits with our Teeblr stuff.

Carribean Resorts on the Internets

A little project for the 30 Day Challenge. My practice site is Carribean Resorts over on the WordPerfectDirect qarf domain. Seems the domain has been up and down and I'm thinking Google came calling during one of the down times. Let's see if we can get the Big G to pay a revisit on the strength of this backlink.

Crumhorn T-Shirt - For Early Music Fans

crumhorn t-shirt
Making t-shirts today for my Cafepress empire. This new tee is the Crumhorn T-Shirt...featuring a Renaissance-era minstrel playing a crumhorn. The crumhorn was a double-reed instrument, which I think made a bagpipe sort of buzzing sound. If a wandering minstrel ever happens by I'll check it out for sure. Get this, the Crumhorn T-Shirt.

Skeleton T-Shirt - Rattle Them Bones

skeleton t shirtNew Skeleton T-Shirt I've done for Cafepress sales. Pretty simple and straight-forward here...a happy skeleton doing his happy dance. It certainly is a mystery why skeletons are so happy. Get it today. the new Skeleton T-Shirt.

America's Favorite Fake Woody - Willys Woody

willys station wagon
Just unveiled at All-4-Corners, my eBay store, is the new Willys Wagon Wall Clock, and also available as a stylish wristwatch.
The Willys Station Wagon was actually groundbreaking when it came out in 1946. Some would point to it as "The First SUV," as it was quite popular with young post-war couples moving to the suburbs with a couple of kids in tow. The vehicle was all-steel construction and the woody appearance was strictly cosmetic.

KXLY Got It Goin On

Here's a TV station that understands the power of accumulating content. While lots of television station don't seem to have a direction for their web sites, KXLY in Spokane is putting its archive of footage up on their website, and allowing anybody to embed the clips in their websites...just like a youtube video and just like I've embedded the Spokane Indians Opening Day report below. I just sampled a few of the 4,800 of videos at the site and didn't see any sponsorships, but would assume that's coming. One thing for certain, when these videos start showing up all over Spokanite websites, KXLY will certainly reap the branding rewards.

Antique Topo Art on Metal Cases

I find that topographic items always sell well. People like things from and about their town or city. So I'm starting a new line of metal cigarette cases with antique birds-eye views of towns and cities all across America. These type of aerial views were very popular in the second half of the 19th century and nearly every town of note has an antique birds-eye floating around out there somewhere. Of course, many are quite rare.
First up are cigarette cases featuring views of Manhattan in 1874 and San Francisco in 1878. I like both of these subjects because they are so recognizable. Even 130 years later they are still instantly known. The very definition of iconic.

New Page for Rainbows, Cool Leather Sandals

Late night project, building a new page for Savant7...this one peddling Rainbow Sandels. I tried something a little different this time, actually embedding an Amazon aStore with an iframe. One More for the Savant7 Portfolio

One more minisite built for the experimental Savant7 project for the spelling-challenged. Another travel site, this for searchers of Cheap Airfairs...as opposed to Cheap County Fairs, lol.
I've fleshed this site out more than the others, more content and more substance. Not sure if it will make much difference with visitors or with Big G but we'll see.

Soft Cushy Rubber Flip Flops From Brazil

The best flip flops made, by far. I just worked up another savant7.com webpage, this for Haviana Flip Flops (yes, Havaianas). Made in Brazil of the finest, softest rubber, it's an ultra-comfortable flip-flop perfect for poolside or racing through the grocery store.

    Discount Airfair

    Irrefutable Fact of Life #23,481

Irrefutable Fact of Life #23,481 reads like this: I will never own a Kaiser Darrin.

Sigh. There is simply no way I can refute that statement. It's true.

So, settling for nothing but second best, how about a snazzy watch featuring a cool 1954 Kaiser Darrin right on the dial face. Plus in the lower half of the dial is the Kaiser Darrin badge with the racing flags and also the name in chrome script.

Here's your choice. $80,000 for the car, or $20 for the watch.

The Kaiser Darrin Wristwatch is available at my eBay store, All-4-Corners. Also look for the Kaiser Darrin Wall Clock with the same face design.

    For Those About To Crock

Playing around last night, checking some keywords, fiddling with misspellings. Anyway, that led to the creation of a new website for folks who are looking for Crock Shoes. Yes, yes, yes, I know it's Crocs. But there are a lot of people who prefer the the extra k, and who are we to argue?

Took a little time this afternoon to launch a new website for people interested in buying a digital camera with zoom. Expect news, reviews, recommendations and other stuff.

    Playing with Google Maps

I'm learning how to make simple Google Maps this morning. They are simple, just a few clicks, fill in some blanks, and there you go, a map of whatever. The created map can then be embedded in a webpage, and hopefully even blogger. Let's see:

New Teddy Roosevelt Watch and Clock

Teddy Roosevelt WristwatchSeems like Teddy Roosevelt's name is getting tossed around a lot these days. I usually hear it in comparisons to John McCain.
Apparently McCain has to go back to 1902 to find a Republican he relates to.
I'm a big fan of TR, especially his cowboy years in the Dakotas and his take-charge "Rough Rider" attitudes. I love a quote TR made in 1899 when he was governor of New York:

"Far better it is to dare mighty things, to win glorious triumphs, even though checkered by failure, than to take rank with those poor spirits who neither enjoy much nor suffer much, because they live in the great twilight that knows neither victory nor defeat."

I used the beginning of this wonderful sentiment in the design of my new Theodore Roosevelt Watch for sale at All-4-Corners, my eBay store. That quote, plus a facsimile signature, and a classic photograph of the president that has been carefully colorized. This face design is also available on the Theodore Roosevelt Wall Clock, also at All-4-Corners.

Peire Vidal, Azalais, and Howard Pyle

I always enjoy when I get to work with classic illustrative art. Mainly because I feel like I'm giving new life to something that is for the most part lost and/or forgotten.Troubadour Peire Vidal
This morning I had the pleasure of working with "Peire Vidal chant a la belle Azalais" by Howard Pyle. This is a scene done by Pyle for Harper's in 1903, and shows the French troubadour Peire Vidal entertaining his patron Azalais of Montferrat.
I'm not sure if a French troubadour of 1202 would be playing a lute, and think maybe Pyle took a little historical liberty. But still, I think this is a wonderful scene and works nicely on one of the chrome metal cigarette cases that I sell on eBay.

    New TV Viewer

Today's project...a retro TV graphic into which I can embed youtube videos. I just like the way videos look inside a little cartoon television set.
