Hi, great idea with the watch, Im a medallic sculptor and have wanted to do a much based proof medal for a while now, didnt know how to get permission, are you sure his stuff is public domain? that would be great as I can get started!!
Yea Anon, any of Mucha's works done before 1923 are in the Public Domain, at least in the US. No permission is needed for reproduction.
But you know, if you're gonna do something of high-quality like a proof medal you would certainly benefit from the cachet of a Mucha Foundation approval. http://www.muchafoundation.org/
