I had planned on not doing much today, just sit around and watch the Giants game on TV. But by the third inning the Giants had wore out their welcome so I set about diddling on the computer. The final product was a John Dillinger webpage that may just drive some eyes to my Dillinger eBay items. Expecting Dillinger to really heat up this summer and fall as we approach the opening of Johnny Depp's new "Public Enemy" movie. We'll just have to see.

Capone and Dillinger at Gangsterville
I've opened a storefront on ShopIt.com...named it Gangsterville. Gangsterville is full of gangster-related products...the John Dillinger Cigarette Case, The Bonnie & Clyde Wristwatch, the Al Capone Flip Top Lighter, and lots more gangster/mobster/bad guy stuff.
I'm not sure whether ShopIt.com is going to amount to much, but they do have some promising web2.0 qualities, plus a pretty neat Facebook application.
I've mounted a shopit.com widget for Gangsterville in the right column. Their widget is default to 380 width, but found that I could easily squeeze it down to 364 to fit my column.

Old Mobsters Never Die...
...they just get immortalized on watches and clocks.
Worked up a watch/clock face design this morning at the request of a (hopefully) customer. Here's New York City mobster Frank Costello. Costello was known as "The Prime Minister of the Underworld"...which has to be the most Ivy League mafioso nickname ever given.

Johnny Depp as John Dillinger
No, I'm not a huge Johnny Depp fan, but I am looking forward to seeing the new movie now filming, Public Enemies, in which Johnny Depp plays notorious gangster John Dillinger.
Grabbed this picture of Depp as Dillinger from Film School Rejects,
This is Depp the first day of shooting a few weeks ago up in Columbus, Wisconsin.
Depp's a pretty boy, definitely, but Dillinger wasn't the worst looking bum himself.
I have a few different items that I sell on eBay that feature John Dillinger...a watch, a clock, a belt buckle and a flip-top lighter. The art I use is actually adapted from a mugshot from one of his run-ins with John Law. If Johnny Depp can capture that same cocky smirk he may have a winner of a movie.
