Some of the activity icons I've created for my Shasta Lake site. Inspired by standard Forest Service signs but using this dark reddish brown from the site's color palette. If you've been to Shasta Lake in times of low water then you'll understand why we've gone with a reddish brown.
These icons represent various activities of the lake crowd and I still have more to make. One I should make is an icon to signify the current water level as that is of importance to the lake set. Shasta Lake is above all an impound for irrigation water, flood control and power generation. Sometimes the powers that be have to release more water than the sportsmen and wakeboarders would like.
Anyway, here's the icons so far...

Shasta Lake Pictures on a Cool Googly Map
Working on a Google map for all my pictures taken at various locations on the lake. This may be more trouble than it's worth, or it may develop some quality backlinks for the Shasta247 website. We'll just have to see. Here's the map...

Checking Out Shasta Lake, 24/7
I've just started up a new website featuring lifestyle information about Shasta Lake, California. And I'm talking about the lake, not the city. If you're interested in the latest weather on the lake, or water level, or houseboat tips or hiking and biking info, check us out at Shasta 247.com.
If you don't know, Shasta Lake, also called Lake Shasta, is the reservoir created by Shasta Dam in northern California. At 30,000 acres it's the largest reservoir in California. We're great for boating, water skiing, camping, house boating and fishing.
